how do i upgrade prossessors

I am trying to figure out how, where, and how much it would cost to upgrade my 8 core 2.4 Ghz prossessors to the 12 core 3.06's?

Mac Pro (Mid 2010), Mac OS X (10.7.4)

Very few 8-processor Mac Pro machines are compute-bound. Most are severely I/O bound.

What sort of work are you doing on this Mac that requires more compute-power ??

What is your Memory and Hard drive configuration?

Maybe start with Intel processor list of just what they have maybe in 8-core 3.2GHZ first and the MSRP vs eBay and Amazon etc

There is a lot in one or two only long threads on MacRumors forum under Mac Pro desktop section about processor upgrades.

You could be looking at 2x$1500 easily.
