New Pages version outputs b&w pdfs in epubs differently

Upgraded to new release last night.

Today, files that I've been routinely saving to epub format now present pdfs as oversized and heavily bitmapped.

Images are small and not complex. Logos, mainly. And there are only a couple in each file.

I'm about to try with jpgs or pngs or gifs instead, but this is frustrating.

Any help?
