I've typed and retyped the serial number off of the box and off the About this Mac. Also tried copy and paste.
No results. Any ideas?

If you purchased your Mini from the Apple Store w/ Applecare,
it is automatically registered with Apple. To determine that,
type your serial number on this page:
https://selfsolve.apple.com/agreementWarrantyDynamic.do
Please note that if this is the case, it may take a few days
for your coverage to post to the database.
If you in fact purchased Applecare and have the seperate box and the
Mini was purchased elsewhere, then you will need to call Apple with your
issue.
Trying to register my Mac Mini. Applecare registration will not take my Mac Mini serial number.
