I have to plot 3 different sets of data for the Y-values and compare their trendlines and I can't figure out how to do it. Please help!
Try starting with a default chart by selecting nothing on a sheet, then select the scatter chart from the Charts menu in the tool bar. This will insert a table and chart. This will allow you to look at how this is set up.
Can you indicate what type of chart you are trying to make? Bar? Line? Scatter?
A scatter plot. When i select more than one group for the Y-values, it just ends up combining them, and I dont want to do that.
can you post a screen shot of what you have?

There is a Share X Values option in Scatter Charts. If you are sharing X values, you need to activate this option. Click the gear icon upper left corner of the chart range box.

Can you add more than one trendline to a graph on numbers? For example, more than 1 set of Y-values? I need to do that for a class.
