I recently purchased a HD movie from iTunes, but rather than using up all that memory on my iOS device, can I download the SD version of the movie from my previously purchased list directly to my iOS device? In short can you download a SD video directly on my iPad after purchasing the HD version of the same movie from iTunes?

This thread only tells how to do this via itunes on a computer. Is there a way to get an SD film downloaded directly to the ipad after buying a HD show without using a computer?
It's basically the same and it's in the thread .
Tap on iTunes, tap on purchases , select movies (that's at the top of the screen.).
Find the title you want tap on that and select SD.
If you usually buy movies in HD but prefer SD on the iPad go into setting and select SD as your preferred form for downloading video on the iPad.
Maybe this has changed for ios6. But when I go to TV series (I dont have any movies) I select the show, on the left, the list of series appears on the right when I click that a new dialog opens with a list of episodes but all the episodes on the dialog are in HD clicking the cloud symbol to download immediatly starts the HD download with no option to start the SD version. No where in itunes on the ipad can I see a place to select SD.
