Move iPhone & iPad sync to different computer.

I currently sync my iPhone and iPad to my iMac. For reasons I won't go into here, I would like to simply transfer by syncing to my MacBook Pro. I currently sync and backup via the iCloud.

I have looked through various discussion groups and haven't come across this simple request. Is there some easy way to transfer my iPhone and iPod to be recognized by my MacBook Pro and then sort of "reverse/backdoor' sync them?

Everything currently is working perfectly. I do not wish to mess anything up with my iPhone or iPad. One obvious concern to me is the fact that iTunes in iCloud shows all my music, playlists, etc.; however, there are no apps, ring tones, or books showing up in iTunes on my MacBook Pro. I guess in a perfect world if I could do what I want to the "reverse" sync would just put them there.

Please be kind to me and let me know of a simple way to accomplish this simple task.

Thanks!

If you're asking how to migrate your syncing relationship from your old computer to your new one, you do this by copying the entire iTunes folder from your old Mac to your new one, using one of the methods outlined here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4527. It's important to move the entire iTunes folder, which contains critical library files that associate your devices with iTunes. After doing so, your devices should then be recognized and be able to sync with your new computer.
