Unable to Restore iPhone 3GS

My iPhone 3GS won't restore even though I have downloaded the latest iOS software but it won't install on my phone. My Error Message isn't shown in the list of examples given on the blog, it reads 'The iPhone "iPhone" could not be restored. The device cannot be found.' Can anyone help me ?

There are several options you can do.

I talked with Apple Support learned a few tricks of trade.

1. You must stop Internet connection. Hit the top button and hold for three seconds till you get a slide "To turn off". Slide the Red button to turn off iPhone completely. Wait for 10 seconds and then turn it back on with the same top button till you get an Apple logo on the Startup Screen. This will help and try again.

2. Alternate option go to Synchronized your iPhone with your computer it will detect in iTunes the latest software for iTunes on your computer and the latest iOS on your iPhone which is 4.1.1. This will help updating your iPhone software, in the process it will backup your iPhone on to your computer. Next, is setup an iCloud account, use your original email address without the @yahoo.com or @hotmail.com. This will complete your iCloud account. And backups your purchases to an online server of up to 5GBs.

3. To restore all of your apps using iTunes instead of Synchronizing you want to transfer some of the data onto your iPhone device, by clicking "Unknown" that's your iPhone device, this area is tricky. Or you can use iCloud to restore everything on your iPhone. Everything will be restored except apps you downloaded that are optional music, movies, tv shows, will have to be reinstalled through iCloud.

4. Updating your device to iPhone iOS 5.1 is not possible.
