Ross,

Rather than repeat the User Guide text here, I'll point you to the instructions, than after reading, feel free to ask for more help.

In the Pages Help menu, use the link to download the Pages User Guide. Open the guide and type "TOC" into the Search Field in the upper right corner of the guide's window. This will isolate the pages with TOC instructions in the Guide.

First of all thanks for your help, but I had seen and read several times the Pages User Guide.

The problem is, I can not create my list style because when I go to inspector - list - marks and numbers, ther is no combination for 1.1.

I would like to create an index like this:

0_AAAAAA

I_ BBBB

1. ccccc

1.1. ddddd

1.1.1. eeeee

II_ GGGG

And on Pages I don't know how do it....

I read somewhere the ability to save a file in format RTF, when I must create a file with my own index, than import do Pages...but I don't know how to do it, because when I import, Pages open a new file...

Thanks

Best regards

Ross,

It sounds as though you have read discussions about changing the fixed format of TOC in Pages to a format of your own design. So, after Exporting to RTF, open the RTF document in TextEdit and Copy the TOC text. Then Paste and Match Style into your original document, after deleting the TOC that Pages produced for you.

Regards,

Jerry
