Home sharing problems with Apple TV (3rd gen)

In Apple TV (3rd gen) I am unable to access my library via Home Sharing. It is enabled on both my pc and my atv. My internet connection is good, ie I can watch videos on youtube and listen to radio stations. This has only happened recently. I had not used it in maybe a month or two, and it installed an update yesterday when I turned it back on. Any suggestions?
