I have Pages on my Mac Pro from 2009.

Does this become an App Store supported program?

I see that there is an update out yesterday for "Pages 1.7" described as for both Mac and IOS, but my App Store doesn't detect it on my computer.

When I upgraded to Mountain Lion and used Software Update check it did "roll over" to the AppStore and downloaded the Pages 4.2 update. I haven't updated to 4.3 as I don't have any need for it so far. @ Peter Inova1 Make sure yo ahve you iWork applications in its folder in the Application folder so the update program can find them.

No. No software obtained from other sources, including the iTunes App Store, carries over to the Mac App Store for any purpose. Click here for free updates to other Apple software.
