Purchased Songs not downloading in iTunes 11

Ever since upgraded to iTunes 11, I've noticed that when I purchase songs from the iTunes Store on my MacBook that the songs don't often download. The purchase is recorded in my Account Purchase History, the items appear on my iTunes Match enabled devices (an iPad and iPhone); however, they do not appear in the library on my Mac. The items also don't show up as purchased in the iTunes Store. It looks like that Apple allows me to click on them to purchase them again.

Having the same problem. I have found that a workaround is to click on "Update iTunes Match" under the Store menu, after purchasing the song.

But I agree with others, this is a failure in one of the fundamental functions of iTunes and it is surprising that they did not notice it before releasing iTunes 11.

Makes one wonder if it would have been allowed to happen if Steve Jobs were still at the helm.

Same thing happened to me last night. Purchased a song, didn't display it downloading, didn't show up in Purchased folder or Library. When I woke up, it was miraculously on my computer and iPhone. I'm baffled at the functionality of iTunes 11. Hoping they'll release an update soon.

Edward, I doubt Jobs would have let anything like this out to the public. It's pitiful.
