my nepali font is not working in macbook pro

Apple provides the fonts needed for Unicode Nepali, so you should normally not need to install your own.

If you have installed a non-standard font in order to view a non-Unicode webpage, you may have to use Firefox, which you can force to use such things via the preferences. Safari does not have that option.

Please provide the url of the page you cannot see correctly.

i reset my computer and again update just a week before but now i cant read nepali font ;( can u please help me? i download devanagari new and bold , preeti , but didnt work at all,
i cant se any nepali word at all.

thank you very much for ur reply but still i cant open nepali sites.
i can read the page from wikipedia u sent me but cant open any other page like www.ekantipur.com/nep canadanepal.info, nayakhabar.com etc.
the main thing is after reset my computer i dont have any nepali font in the Font of application of apple.

I don't know how you can see that page if you are missing the font.

When you go to Applications/Fontbook.app, with Collection set to All Fonts, do you not have the font Devangari MT there? That is the font which is used. If you are really missing that, email me and I will send it (tom at bluesky dot org).

PS For me www.ekantipur.com/nep is broken and not reachable. The others are OK.

i dont have the Devangari MT in my font book, i did have before but now i loose it after the staff from apple store restore my macbook.

I had the same problem in my mac. Here is how I did it.

• Go to http://www.easynepalityping.com/nepali-fonts-download and download any nepali font you need.
• Then just copy and paste your downloaded files on LIBRARY>FONTS. (If you cannot locate the fonts folder, type FONTS in the search box)
• Reopen your application.

Hurray!! its done.
