I erased my 3G I Phone by mistake. Apple is all that is on screen. Must use sleep and on off button to turn off. None responsive to Itunes. Help

HEEEEEELP, Stupid, "that would be me" pushed erase I Phone in setup. I thought I would be able to restore in Itunes but now I Tunes and my Laptop will not recognize its exsistance, there is an Apple on screen. Period. Must turn off holding sleep and on off button same time. Turns on with on button but wont move beyound the APPLE. Yea I hosed it up trying to unlock ATT out of my life for good. Any suggestions at this point much appretiated.

Try DFU Mode Restore. DFU Mode. Open iTunes on computer. Connect iPhone to computer with USB cable. Hold both Home and Power button, after exactly 10 seconds release the Power Button, keep holding the Home button until iTunes recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode, usually about 20 seconds time. If the iPhone screen is black, blank this is DFU Mode. Click the Restore button of iTunes. DFU Mode can be difficult to enter sometimes, just keep trying. DFU Mode is a black, blank screen with iTunes saying Recovery Mode.
