Dec 6, 2012 2:07 PM in response to kathrynascby Steve Disney,The easiest way i know of is open the leather bound temple save it as another template (so you do not overwrite the original).
Double click on the image and select edit in master. This will give you access to delete the squiggly line thingy.

Dec 6, 2012 2:14 PM in response to kathrynascby Steve Disney,Sorry when i said double click on background. I should of said double clicl on the element you want to remove and a dialog box will appear. The box will give you the option to edit the line element in masterpage.

Dec 6, 2012 2:51 PM in response to kathrynascby kathrynasc,I somehow ended up on creating a new master slide. I can FINALLY access the artwork - it has a box around it of x's - but I can't seem to do anything. Delete doesn't work. Trying to shrink the box doesn't work. I'm not getting a dialog box when I click on it that is specific to the x'ed area. It pertains to the full background page. I'm obviously missing something - the fact that I have never been in Keynote before may have something to do with it! :-)
