cant get iCal to sync w/ iCloud

I just upgraded to a MacBook Pro, but when I'm syncing my calendar to my iCloud calendar it just keeps loading and saying "couldn't move your calendars to iCloud because an error occurred" any way to make this sync up?

MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2012), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8)

I think the iCal link is down :-( I'm having the same problem. Does anyone know where to go look to see what the status of repair is?

i rebooted my computer and it is now able to open iCal and everything but it doesn't have any of my calendar events on it from iCloud..
