After installing QuickTime 7 on my Mac Pro (OS 10.6.8), I clicked on Registration in the QuickTime Player 7 menu, and entered my registration code. The button in the registration dialog box says “Buy QuickTime Pro…” Having no other option, I click the button and am taken to the web page where I must purchase QuickTime Pro. Since I’ve paid for it already, I’ve reached a dead end. Please tell me how I can install QuickTime 7 Pro to my computer.

I had the same problem, but I use Windows VISTA. The solution in my case was:

Open the Quick Time player with a right click, and in the context menu click left on "execute as administrator".

Maybe this will work with your Mac too.
