Bluetooth pairing

After ios6.01 upgrade iphone4 and ipad3 Bluetooth does not pair with ipad3 message says make sure you phone is turned on and your iPad is near by. Before the upgrade was working without any glitch. I tried to reset did not make any difference. Is this common issue? If anyone came across similar problem?
