Problem accessing a book I've purchased

I've recently purchased a book off of iTunes and downloaded it via computer and sync'd it to my iPhone 5. It appears in my library in a state of constant downloading with the pause icon next to it. I am unable to delete it via syncing or off the edit menu and when I delete it and redownload it, via iTunes library on my computer, to sync to my iPhone 5 again the results are the same and I've tried turning it off and on again several times and I've deleted my entire library and redownloaded iBooks and have met no success. It will display the book image but it won't open or do anything when I press the pause icon.

I'm running iOS 6.0.1 and iBooks 3.0.2 if that helps at all
