Where are the compressor dvd themes and why is it so slow?

Sorry if I've missed this on another thread or just within the app itself. I purchased Compressor 4 today from the App store so that I could burn a DVD of a project I've been working on in FCPX. One of the reasons I purchased it was that I wasn't all that impressed by the two themes in FCPX and the details in the App store say about Compressor 4...

Word with a choice of themed menus to encode and burn a DVD or Blu-ray disc.

I really don't think that the black and white themes really count as a choice, so I'm really hoping that I've missed something here.

On another note, I don't understand how it can be so slow. I created a DVD image from within FCPX and it took about seven hours, as opposed the 40 Compressor is. Reason I got compressor is that FCPX ended up making a DVD image which was 4.99GB.

If anyone has any advice I'd really appeciate it - at the moment I'm thinking I need to request a refund from Apple.

Not sure how to respond.

1) Compressor and FCP have identical themes. They offer very limited options. If you want more, try to track down a copy of iDVD. Lots of discussions so do a search. Find out about a refund.

2) The export times are unreasonable.My exports take me about real time. Something s wrong, but hard to say without more specifics. Most probabaly conflicts between thrid party software.

Try repair permissions in Disk Utility.

Thanks for your help. I'll enquire about a refund as I am disappointed plus I own Final Cut Studio 3 which had the old compressor and iDVD with it.

If you own FCS3, then you have DVD Studio Pro, which is outstandiing DVD authoring software that many continue to use. You also have Compressor 3.5 and there is very little reason to also have C4 unless you're doing a lot of Web work.
