I am trying to restore a single from my cloud to my iphone. can anyone tell me how to do that?

If you want to restore the app data (such as your game progress) along with the app, you have to restore to the entire iCloud backup as app data is only contained in the backup. If you just need the app, you can redownload it again for free (see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519).
Thanks for the response however, this does not answer my question. looking back on my question, i notice there's a missing word. I want to know how to restore a single app from my iCloud to my iPhone. I would like to know how to restore the game progress from a game app using the data backup from my cloud. i do not know how to pull all/any of my information from the iCloud.
I did understand what you want to do and I'm sorry if I wasn't clear but if you want to restore the app data, you'll have to restore to your backup. And restoring a backup is all or nothing; you can't selectively choose to restore a single app (or just all apps for that matter). It has to be the entire backup, including your photos, messages, apps, settings and other data included in the backup. So I guess the short answer is that you can't.
ok, that does answer my question. i had to figure out the hard way that the my phone wouldn't reboot from its own cloud backup, that it had to be disconnected from my mac to do so. it's a silly little step, but for some reason that was hanging me up. Thanks again for the response.
