1. Have you started iTune on your computer?
2. Have you enabled Home Sharing on iTune?
3. Is iPad and computer on the same network?

Yes to all of above. When I tap on music it simply says no music.
Try syncing or downloading a single track into the app and see if you then get the More button option - it may be that it doesn't appear if there isn't content in the actual app
Oh dear. This had the effect of removing all the music from my iPhone. I do now see the more option on the music app on both I pad and I phone but still no home sharing option.
The answer's to Diavonex's questions are still yes, and you don't see a home sharing option if you tap the More button at the bottom of the Music app ?
Still yes. There is now a more button but no sharing option on the I pad. On the I phone it is worse as the menus are completely stuck. I have tried restarting but that has not helped either. Thank you very much for both your help by the way.
Try closing the Music app via the taskbar and see if it shows when you re-open the app : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Music app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Music app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then also do a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
Had already tried the first option. Just tried the second and the problem persists. Think I might give up for now. If you come across a solution please let me know. It would be much appreciated. Thanks.
I had the same problem: itunes' Home Sharing preferences window lies and says that it's turned on, when you turn it on from the preferences checkbox.
The real way to turn on Home Sharing is from the File menu -> Home Sharing -> Actually Turn On Home Sharing Please. This will give you another apple ID login form and finally enable home sharing! It's some sort of extra preference you can't set from the main preferences dialog.
Check your Settings > Music > Home Sharing > your Apple ID it should be the same as in computer iTunes.
This helped me! I didn't even know that File/Home Sharing option existed, and it turns out, someone else in the house was signed into my computer for sharing. Anyways, now I can see 'Shared' on my iPhone, where I couldn't before. Thanks!
Thanks! Apple should fix this soon - I was getting very frustrated 😝
Your suggestion solved my issue. My devices were on different networks; main vs. guest thus the "more" button would not displayed additional music libraries. Huge help!!
I am glad you solved your problem 🙂
Enjoy your Home Sharing.
Hi, it's good you're sorted, but for others who are still struggling I have one tip to add: if your iMac is connected to router by Ethernet cable you won't be able to Home Share. So disconnect cable and reset to wireless. Only dawned on me after hours of frustration!
