Hi I have an Iphone 4 and when I open the app store, all that appears is a white screen. I can't do anything? what can I do?

Try a hard reset. Hold Power button and home button until it restarts. Hold both till the Apple logo is displayed. Do not slide power off.
If that does not work you may need to restore.

You were right Ben it did work. I turned it off and when it turned back on, everything was back to normal and could see the app store. thanks.
Glad it worked. The reset or even just a restart is a good first step for most iOS bugs.
