hey friends- i'm trying to migrate my iphone 4 stuff to my new iphone 5 from a backup on itunes. it all works fine except that none of the apps i've downloaded transfer over. any ideas?

The iphone 5 is a bigger screen, and the iPhone 4 is a smaller screen, unless the app has "support for the iPhone 5", then you cant run them on the 4
With the device connected to iTunes navigate to the Apps tab and check the checkbox labeled Syn Apps and then Sync the iPhone with iTunes

That's not true. The apps simply won't use the full screen. They will be the same size as the older iPhone screens
thanks for the insight everyone. let me explain a bit further though. my wallpapers, my folders and their labeling migrate over, but the apps that i've downloaded which are not native have not migrated over. that make sense? it seems to have taken all the info apart from non-native apps. let the discussion begin again! ( :
