Double-click the Home button to bring up the tray of recent Apps at the bottom of the screen. Touch the App you want.

You can also switch between Apps by swiping the screen left or right with 4 or 5 fingers touching the screen. To do this iSettings ->General -> Multitasking gestures has to be On. You can also swipe up with 4 or 5 fingers touching the screen to reveal the recent Apps tray.
