When I change the password under settings it does not change the restrictions password.

On my son's ipod touch 5th, I want to allow him the password to access the ipod but want a different password for the restrictions section. Right now the two passwords are the same. When I go under settings to change the password it changes the password to access the ipod yet when I then tap on restrictions it still has the same old password that my son knows..... I want to have a password that he cannot access. Also, under restrictions it has safari which I want to restrict but utube is not listed which I also want to restrict....

The screenlock passcode and the Restrictions passcode are completely different settings. If you want to change the Restrictions passcode, you will need to go into the Restrictions settings, entering in the old passcode so you can get in. The disable Restrictions and re-enable. You can then enter in a new passcode.

As to YouTube, that is now a third-party app in iOS 6, so there is no way to disable it in Restrictions. Delete the YouTube app and set the Restrictions to not allow installation of apps.

Regards.
