Finding my UK business on Apple Maps by the postcode

Hi

My cafe/venue is called inSpiral Lounge

The postcode is NW1 8QS

If I search by postcode on google maps I get this. The venue is pinned and links to the reviews.

https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&newwindow=1&rlz=1C1ASUM_enGB483GB483&q=nw1% 208qs&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wl

However on Apple Maps, searching by postcode - we are not mentioned anywhere on the page.

How can I fix this?

If I put inSpiral lounge into Apple Maps then it does bring up our venue so we are listed.

Can anybody advise?

Thanks

As far as I can ascertain, Apple Maps does not appear to prioritise the postcode when searching for UK addresses. Undue emphasis is placed on the first line of the address and the town, giving often wild (and quite often useless) results.

I've noticed that if I search for an address from my Contacts app, if there is additional information (e.g. The name of a village or district), the location will not be shown correctly - often defaulting to the 'post town'.

I do hope Apple kisses and makes up with Google soon. Its map offering for UK users is lamentable.

Apple is working on the "Open In" function, right now some things will be offered to open in Google Maps. (otherwise, you can still copy/paste accordingly)

Worked with calendar and contacts

What does that mean?

Google can sync calendars and contacts as-is, just connect the account accordingly.

And if you sign in to Google Maps, you get all of the Google account connections too. (history, contacts, locations, etc.)

I thought you wanted access to Google syncing services on the phone...

Europe has different privacy rules than the USA (the NSA snooped American cloud services, Apple, Yahoo, Google, etc. not Europe)

For now, until Google maps can be default, copy and paste is your best bet.

Curiosity, what are you doing with all of these Addresses/postcodes + Maps?

I may have an alternative solution up my sleeve...
