Junk mail in iCloud

I am seeing something rather strange with a junk mailbox in Mail, using my iCloud email account. Obviously, I have a junk mailbox in my account, and email from senders I have designated as junk mail end up there. However, there is also a junk mailbox under iCloud (as listed in the side panel), which contains a number of emails. Oddly enough, none of these emails have been marked as junk, and some are ones I would like to see in my inbox. In addition, I have deleted this mailbox, only to have it reappear, with emails inside, again emails that were not marked as junk. Anyh idea as to what is going on, and how I can have these emails delivered to my inbox?

Thanks in advance.
