phonr does not activate

Hi,

I tried upgrading the iOS for iPhone 3Gs and now it keeps telling e that the iPhone could not be activated because the activation server is temporarily unavailable. Try connecting to iTunes to activate it, or try again in a couple of minutes.

I tried doing this a few times but still the same message.
