Dogs 'n Front Level 1 Level 1

I just upgraded to the latest version of iTunes and I'm not sure I like the latest version.  For staters, there used to be an option under the view tab that allowed you to view album cover art while listening to your songs (see image below).  Now, that art is just a tiny spec next to the progress bar while it plays.  Does anyone know how to change the view so that I have large album art viewing while I listen to my songs?

Cover Flow is gone. But you can click the album art in the progress area:  That will open up a window showing the album art, one what will also show the playback controls if you move your cursor into the window. Regards.

I prefer the cover flow view option.

Other people do as well. But it's gone, and according to Walt Mossberg at All Things Digital, he's been told by Apple that it's not coming back, though only time will tell.

This is pretty sad, It helped me a lot when looking for songs and sorting out my albums to have the pictures...

Lame.  Nothing like making an app harder to use.  Nice job, guys.  I appreciate the added frustration.  Life was just getting too easy.  Why is it so hard to keep this as an option?

Yeah, i agree.  Apple products (including their software) has always had a universal theme:  user friendly.  That's just ONE of the many reasons why I love Apple!  If I wanted complicated, frustrating & confusing, I'd go back to using my crappy PC.  lol.  Is it just me or does anyone else see Apple starting to slowly slip now that Steve Jobs isn't around?

re: lack of album art facility on iTunes 11.

Yet again Apple has screwed up big time. Who is making these poor decisions?

I have downgraded my itunes back to 10.7 and will not be buying any further apple products until they sort this...

    I am so fed up!

Agree with everything here, i loved cover flow.. I only wish I could go back to 10.7. I had a look to see how it's done and even that looks like it's too hard. Any suggestions?

Going through the effort of downgrading is the only way to get Cover Flow back.

Thanks varjak paw, and again for non tech savvy people it looks complicated to me. I don't want to get involved with something I'm not sure about so I guess I'm stuck with Itunes 11 :-(

This is a horrible change! I'm changing back to 10. I need to see my albums as it is helping me to determine what song is next, it helps me filter and quickly look up a new song etc etc.

This blows; like it would have been hard to keep this feature. Apple once again shows that they only care about iOS users, no wonder their share price is falling like a rock.

I'm a life long apple user. I grew up using the Apple IIe/c in elementary school back in the 80’s. Then I went to art school in the 90's where almost everything creative was done on Apple machines. I have only ever owned Apple computers. Between my wife and I we have owned about 20 of their devices. We currently have a Mac Pro in the office, which I generally use of my work, a Macbook Pro laptop for my wife, 2 iPhones, 2 iPads and a Mac Mini connected to our TV in the family room, an Apple Time Capsule and an Apple Airport Express. And right now I'm really starting to second think all the reasons I've ever used Apple. It's these sort of asinine decisions that just make them look so out of touch with users and with the actual good things they do. Cover Flow was a great feature that made searching easy -- especially when you just weren't sure what you wanted to listen to. Cover Flow was the equivalent to looking through the albums/cds on your shelf. Why Apple, why? You've got a lot of explaining to do. I won't be upgrading to iTunes 11 until it's added back.

Ditto to all the complaints about iTunes 11!  Why isn't Cover Flow a view option?  Another bad move, Apple.  Don't you product test these moves?
