Hope this is the right place to ask.
I have copied some video files from my Humax Foxsat-HDR recorder onto my iMac and seem to be unable to play or convert them. The file extension is .ts (there are associated .hmt and .nts files too). I assume the problem is that these are high definition recordings.
Does anyone have experience of this situation?

some manufacturers create their own flavors of ts ... could be tricky.
plus, depending on source, e.g. a broadcasted stream, it can can contain DRMs which prohibt any processing ..........
I'm afraid that remux didn't even load the files.
then we reached the end of my list of options ... 😟
