I made the mistake of updating to iTunes 11 (which appears to be as buggy as iMaps) on my Macbook Pro. But iTunes 11 doesn't see my iPhone 4 - any advice please?

I have tried those steps they don't help the issue. I did use disk Utilities and restart and then it worked-but only for that day. When I started up the next day it didn't work anymore. Can only charge phone with the plug, mac doesn't recognised any input-all since the itunes update. Pretty pointless and anoying...
