Does anyone know why my Appleworks is running very slowly in Snowleopard now that I have upgraded. It can take ages to make corrections or to change fonts.
Looking at the Activity Monitor when this happens shows that Appleworks is using 100% of CPU.
It may have nothing to do with Snow Leopard. The first thought when someone says AppleWorks is running very slow is the "Recent Items bug" & it has been around since AppleWorks 6 was released in March, 2000. This hasn't helped one problem. It takes forever to scroll down the font list if you need to change font. I've tried the tips of Dale Gillard but I still have the problem with the font list. Any suggestions about that or is it specifically a Snow Leopard problem. I suppose the answer is to change from Appleworks to Pages as Appleworks is EOL.
