I bought it in March 2011. I called Apple, and the woman who answered the phone did not know! :/
If it's a 2008 or newer MacBook Pro, take the Mac to an Apple Store because it's not possible to replace its battery yourself
that's not true: http://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Installing+MacBook+Pro+13-Inch+Unibody+Early+2011+Ba ttery+Replacement/5116/1
Thanks. Why did they make it like that? I could replace it on my old iBook easily. This is really inconvenient. Thx.
you can replace it yourself. Click on the link in my previous response.
Thanks! I will read this over a few times.
Thanks. Got it. Any clue why the display is going dark even when it's plugged in? I was hoping to buy some time with the AC adapter. Seems not. Thx.
what makes you think you need a new battery?
On the battery icon and in the System Profiler it says to service the battery. 338 cycles.
well, can't argue with that, lol.
