Kernel Panic after installing Momentus XT 500GB HDD

installed th hdd and got a kernel panic when trying to restore form back up

i read that this hdd has a firmware issued so i updated the firmware to the latest seagate provided

now restore freezes at 67% id a new installation i get kernel panics when i try to do any update

i format the drive with all zeros and same problem

i am using a Late 2011 Macbook Pro 16gb ram

Hdd Model is ST95005620AS Firmware SD28

can anyone help

Hi Pharaoh1705, did you solve it?

I´ve bought the 16gb RAMs and the same HDD.

Not received yet, and I´m facing all the issues the mac users has with this drive.

Is a kind of random risk or bad batch?

I´ve MBP early 2011 13" with Mountain Lion and I want to upgrade with the 16Gb RAM and the Momentus XT 500Gb.

Some advice?
