    Because this is a forum for Pages for the iOS, and you are talking about Pages for OS X, and they are different.

    Ok. I reread the OP's post before replying to check that but not the ">" separated line on top of the forum. Sorry for the noise. Got to this page from google looking for both sub and superscript.

    I've just found out that Siri can do it but I can't figure a way to do it on the iPhone to just type it. But if I say 400 ft.² or 200 ft.³ She can do that. No way I can find to manually type it and it is ticking me off

    If you are talking about iOS Pages, just read the earlier messages in this thread for info on how to get these.  You cannot type it from the keyboards provided.

    With iOS 8, there are keyboard extensions that do this. I wrote one called "Chemistry Keyboard" that does just this and other things useful for typing chemical formulas.
