how to restore iphone photos if not backed up in itunes
How can you retrieve pictures off of iphone photo directory if phone has been reset. The phone was never backed up in itunes.

Did you have PhotoStream turned on?
If you had PhotoStream turned on they may be there. Otherwise, they a gone.
Did you ever back up to icloud?
If you have access to the pictures anywhere then they can be restored (how will be determined by where you have access)
If the only place they were was on the phone, then unfortunately they are lost.
