iPOD NOT CHARGING WHEN USB IS PLUGGED INTO COMPUTER?

All of a sudden, my Ipod Touch is not charging when I plug it into the USB

on my computer. I will on occasion show the charge sign - then in the

next 30 mins or so - says the battery is down.
