I am trying to keyframe some text i created in motion on a path...i go into format, select path for my text and then try to keyframe the path, boom, crash, motion disappears into cyber oblivion. Is any anyone else experiencing this.

Forgot to say i have mid 2011 imac midair and motion 5.0.6
Uninstalled 5.0.6, reinstalled 5.0.5 and the problem exists there as well.
I tried to reproduce what you described, but can't. When you say you tried to "keyframe the path", it's not actually clear what you mean (especially since path controls are not in format, they are in layout).
-did you animate the path offset
-What type of path shape are you using and what parameters are you adjusting when this happens.
-Are you using Geometry for the path and then animating the shape control points.
Can you give some more exact steps?

path text completely unkeyframable as it causes a crash everytime.
