iTunes 11 Home Sharing not working

Same problem here on a Windows 7 X64 PC. Nothing worked, had to roll-back to previous iTunes version and it is working again. In my case I also had a 1st gen Apple TV not able to communicate with iTunes. With iTunes 10, it's there again

The problem restarted with iTunes 10, so it seems that wasn't the issue. I disabled IPv6 and it's working again

I have also done all the trouble shooting, disabled IPv6, and disabled the firewalls on both machines (which are on the same subnet). Home sharing will not come up...

I'm having the same issue.

Just upgraded to OSX Lion. Did not have issue until then.

TV just keeps asking for homeshare to be turned on in ITunes then I turn it off and on and off and on and TV will not acknowledge it. Wifi works fine and I can stream netflix and Movies etc. but no computer for music or photos.

Have you resolved it yet?

I have not been able to get it to work with 11.0. Had to go back to itunes version 10.5 and all works fine, but now cannot use itunes with my new iPad or iPhone 5. Those need version 10.7 or greater but Home Sharing does not work with that version either.

Is Apple going to say when this bug will be fixed with a new release of iTunes?

Funny thing is that I had Itunes 11 before I switched to OSX Lion and it worked fine. So it seems to be an issue with the combination of both, not just one or the other. Before I was using OSX 6.8

I am connected to Internet with ethernet then using computer's airport to share on network. ATV connected to wifi (formerly "Airport"?) Not using wifi to connect to internet on computer. I keep wondering if I need to change some setting.

After several hours of dealing with this issue I finally got Home Sharing to work. I was able to use Home Sharing from my MacBook Pro to my Apple TV 3 with no issue but could not get it to work from my Windows 7 x64 pc. After uninstalling iTunes, Bonjour and all other apple components (except Safari), I restarted my pc and re-installed iTunes 11. I was then able to turn on Home Sharing and it appeared immediately on my Apple TV. I hope this helps. There were no side effects of this procedure.
