I have a ipodtouch and i downloaded Find my iphone app .

The app will send a alert to my Ipodtouch but will not show a map or it's location.I have updated everthing on my Ipodtouch and my home PC and still nothing.Been trying for a week now to get this thing to work.But nothing.Can anyone help me?

I have window 7 64 bit and it has all it's updates for everything.My Ipodtouch is a 4th gen 16gb and it's new.The app does the same thing on both the Ipodtouch and my PC.No map no location.

It does not even show a map.On my ipodtouch or my PC.

For location the iPod use the location of nearby routers that are in Apple's database. If not in the database no location will be shown. Apple updates the database based on location information it obtains from iPhones. No on has found out how to inform Apple of a router and its location.
