Did you download this installer: Adobe AIR 3.5.0.760?
Yes, I think that's what I have now done. The update was marked 3.5.0.840
Still shows an empty icon in the Applications folder, and points to the installer in the next column. But installer is all that shows.
The download is just the installer. It may look like a brown folder. Double-click on it to start the installer.
It's a red folder. And I do click on it, go through the process, it tells me it's installed, and then nothing.
Yes, this is what I've seen. I've clicked Update, and then it says it's installing, and then finishes, but when I double click on the icon, nothing happens.
It does not install an application as such. If you now open any application that requires Air, then it will now run.
On the other hand if you were looking for the Adobe Air product for actually building Air-based applications, then you have downloaded the wrong thing. All you have is a player for Air-built applications. The programming application you have to purchase from Adobe.
What icon are you referring to?
thank you. I'll try the program again and see if it works this time.
