What Are Essential Accessories for iPod Touch?

I am buying a Touch. I'm not much of an accessory person, but I've never owned one of these or a smart phone and I'm wondering what are essential (or almost essential) accessories.

- A case since it provides some protection from scratches and breakage.

- A wall charger since it allows yo to charge away from your computer

I've been thinking about a case. But, one of the selling featrues of this decice is it thin size. You see ads comparing and boasting about the thinness. It seems if you put a case around it you have defeated one of it primary selling features.

Yes, but it is easy to drop the iPod without a case. It is up to you.
