Just stupid this morning and clicked on"get postal receipt" from fake fedex email while on mac side of bootcamp, will this"virus/trojan" whatever you want to call it affect the windows side of bootcamp since i was on the mac side, and just verifying i do not have to do anything on the mac side? If so how do i check either side for it?
Unless you downloaded something and then clicked on that download to run or open it then you shouldn't have a problem. Even if you did the Win side is kind of isolated as Mac OS X can't write to NTFS formatted drives.
But I got to asks. Why would you click on that email. If you hover over the links they do not go to FedEx or USPS.
You can also look at the Header of the email and the Return address has nothing to do with FedEx or any postal service.
I get them daily on my work account.
Shouldn't be a problem on either side of bootcamp. The only real problem, is if you divulged personal information to the fake Fedex e-mail.

I've gotten a couple of those. I just use Apple Mails “Bounce”. After the second “Bounce” I received no more.
