My iPod Touch (4th Gen) turned completely white! PLEASE NOTE **MY LOCK BUTTON IS BROKEN!** what do I do and how do i restore it

That happened to me once-just wait till the battery runs out (screen turns black), then recharge it and you should be good to go. When it happened to me, the ipod got really hot, but that was just before it went black. Just letting you, know, if that happens.

First off, if its hot let it cool down. Second, press as hard as possible on the lock button. If that do we sent work connect it to your computer, open i iTunes and restore it. And when its all good, go into Settings-General-Accesibility-AssistiveTouch and turn it on.

Try as much as you can with the broken Power button.:

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on

-When it says use recovery mode use this program.

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

hey, just wondering, i have the same problem as taylorswiftie and my phone just unexpectedly shut down at around 40% battery left. How long should i wait before i know the battery is fully drained??

PS, i have an iphone 4 and a broken lock button as well

The pattery is fully drained after the screen go blank like when you turn ithe iPod off.

But what if my phone went black when it was 40%??? and i can't turn it on anymore?

That means the iPod is not on. It will take months for the battery to self discharge when off.
