is node available as a download

So I am looking to upgrade both my mac and Logic. And I was planning on making my older mac into a logic node, but I cannot seem to find the node software now that logic has moved to digital distribution. I have found one or two questions around the internet about this, but they are all unanswered. I know that node was both supported and advertised when Logic Pro 9 came in a box, but it seems to have vanished, and I do not want to drop 200 bucks if I cannot get this to work, as I have ProTools for time based work, and otherwise Logic 8 will do everything I need as well as node - and I already bought it.

Logic Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

Nobody uses node as it's exremely limited, and it only works for audio tracks and doesnt really do DSP. I have Logic node.app, but I bought a boxed copy with the Suite so I do not know if Logic still comes with it. It certainly seems to get updated when I update my copy of Logic, so my proposed solution for you would be to get something like Pacifist (http://www.charlessoft.com/) and use it to open a Logic Combo Update (http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1601) and try and extract the Logic Node.app from it.

I can't say if that will work, and I'm not sure if it's legal, but imo it **** well should be and it's worth a try.
