Fast battery drain after app & carrier updates.

After a batch app update i was asked to update my carrier after doing so my iphone 3gs's battery drains real fast while NOT in use and all other SETTINGS changes have been tried (wifi on off, close BG apps, location off n on ETC.) is this do to the carrier update or app updtae & i'v treid deleting apps i thought might b the culprit and also reset the phone and restored to earler date still having problems.??
