My phone suddenly stopped sending texts to my husband's phone, even though he is listed in contacts, and it looks like my message has been sent. He is not receiving them at all. He has a droid Incredible, and we are on the same plan with the same carrier (Verizon). The carrier was no help at all.

contact your carrier again the sms is through there network and there is no way to say its your phone or his phone
Is it possible that your husband had an iPhone before and you were using iMessage? When you send a message to him, is the bubble blue? If so, he needs to sign out of iMessage.
If this is not the case and he has always had the Droid, then contact Verizon to have them check the account, since as bhazel says, SMS is a carrier function.
My husband's droid phone won't receive my texts from iphone 5. We are on the same plan and same carrier.
