Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

I still cannot scan from my HP PSC 1310 in 10.8.2.

The scan tab is not available for the printer in preferences. Printing works fine. No updates show to be available from the App Store. Downloaded the drivers directly from HP. Nothing works. Any new suggestions?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.4)

Hi,

The PSC 1310 no longer support scanning on Mac OS X v10.5 or any newer OS version, not via the HP Software or via Image Capture either, as you may find listed at the bottom of the following document:

The software provided for your model via Apple Software Update only contain Print Drivers and not Scan Drivers as you may find by the following charts (Listed as PSC 1310):

You may try using the 3rd party VueScan scanning software which seems to support your printer and compatible with 10.8:
