I have a recently purchased Iphone 5 on the verizon network and none of my contacts can recieve texts. Has anyone had this problem, and any solutions?

New Iphone5. Only a couple of my contacts recieve texts. Verizon tried to reset but nothing seems to work. Any ideas?
