iPhone 5 Outgoing call-no audio

Hi all. I am new to the Apple forums. I have a problem with my iPhone 5. On calls, the audio doesn't work at all. I cant hear anything and neither can the other person. Audio and microphone work in all other apps just not the phone app. I have tried so many things from hitting the back of the phone to restoring it in iTunes several times. I have also tried getting a new simcard and that didnt work either. I am in desperate need of help. Thanks!

Same problem here on 5 to 10% of the outgoing calls.

iPhone 5, 64 GB, black, SIMlock-free.

Will monitor the internet for some time to learn if a simple fix (iOS 6.1 maybe) will show up, otherwise will return the phone to Apple.

I have a similar problem, which started a couple of months ago. Whenever I call my daughter (no one else), my outgoing audio doesn't work. I can hear her, but she can't hear me. If she initiates the call--same thing. I can hear her, but she can't hear me. We both have 32 GB iPhone 5s. I've updated the os, to no avail. The mic works fine with everything else. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?

My iPhone 5 keeps losing the outgoing call audio and I fixed it by doing a reset (General/Reset/Reset Network Settings). Solved the issue for now.
